As a child Daniel was surrounded by some of the best Southern Cuisine

connoisseurs, his own grandmothers and parents. As a young man he

expanded his map of tastes when he attended and graduated from the

prestigious Johnson & Wales Culinary University, Charleston, SC. Here

he learned from Chefs from across the world including the Lead Chef at

Princess Diana and Prince Charles' wedding. After school, Daniel spent

the next two decades working at some of Atlanta's favorite and finest

such as Ciboulette French Restaurant, Atlanta Fish Market, Bistango

Mediterranean Restaurant, and Nickmoto's Sushi and Japanese Bar. He

also spent years doing special events for 200 to 2000 guests in his

Catering Career. He also loves to talk and get to know others!

Chef Daniel is clearly a good chef. He taught us how to make the dumplings and they turned out yummy. But he talked too much and the class could have been shorter, which would have been nice since we started an hour late.

I understand that Chef Daniel was ill and I appreciate that he came anyway and held the class. I could even excuse starting an hour late. However, once class started he spent the first 25 - 30 minutes giving his biography! He could have given a short introduction, gotten us started on the prep work and then continued with his monologue. To make matters worse, all of his talking made him feel more ill so that he was unable to teach as much as he would have liked. He obviously knows how to cook and the final product we made was delicious. But I think the class could have moved along more quickly and efficiently.

Great fun! Super great on knowledge and skill. The only thing is to make sure he leads with confidence. He know how to fix our dish as it was over cooking. Just needs to let everyone know he knows what he is talking about.
