Chef Iris is Salvadoran-American born in Washington DC and has been
working in the restaurant industry for over 20 years. She is the Culinary Director
and Managing Partner of La Casita Pupuseria operating since 2002 and has been
passionate about food and Salvadoran culture since she was child. She is a James
Beard WEL alum and has received degrees in Culinary Arts & Communication.
Mother of four and wife she has always understood the balance of food and family
and strives to make delicious & healthy food accessible to everyone. As well make
cooking a joyful and educational experience.
