Had my first CocuSocial experience with Chef Cregg! I learned how to make sushi in three different formats: half rolls, hand rolls (temaki) with spicy tuna, and the classic roll (maki) with imitation crab. Initially, we're taught techniques for making sushi rice and what ingredients to look for in the supermarket. We're then taught how to prepare (cut the ingredients) and assemble the rolls. Everything was clearly explained and demonstrated live beforehand. The ingredients were fresh and delicious! Not only do you get to learn a new skill, but you also get to have a satisfying meal! So, as others have mentioned, do come hungry! But just in case you can’t eat it all, there are take-out boxes available. It was my first time at the venue, so finding the place was a little tricky. Parking is along the street, so plan accordingly! Other than that, I highly recommend this class to anyone looking to have fun in a casual interactive environment and, at the same time, learn a new skill!
