Chef Denis is a young pastry chef born and raised in the alps of Northern Italy. After graduating high school he decided to sign up to a Culinary pastry academy in Milan. After a couple of years of studying and training with world famous pastry chefs, he earned his degree as a pastry chef.
After Milan, he decided to move to Rome where he lived for almost 6 years. He worked as the head pastry chef for an Italian restaurant/bakery in the city center. He LOVED and enjoyed his roman years but always had the dream to move to New York. When he least expected it, luck surprised him and he got a job as Head Pastry Chef at Angelina, a famous Italian bakery in NYC. Aside from work, he loves sports, being in nature and animals.

I took the class with my 2 best friends. The chef explained it in a simple and easy manner and we were able to follow him. He also made us feel as if we can make this recipe at home by ourselves. One of my best friend wants to book the cannoli class.

I Loved your class!! Loved the experience and your teaching style was excellent. Slow, detailed, patient and visual.
I have 2 suggestions
1. Everyone should have their own rolling pin. This way no-one has to wait. You're Uber excited to start and watching your table mates roll and get moving, it makes you want it even faster.
2. Small box for the cannolis.
The bag was challenging on the train.

Chef Denis was superb! My husband and I truly enjoyed the experience and feel confident that we can take what we learned back to our kitchen and make cannolis on our own. Denis is a warm-hearted teacher and truly seemed to enjoy his work and the company of us students. Very easy space to work in and all steps were hands on - including the making of the dough for the shells - which is exactly what was needed. We’ll have to try his tiramisu course next!
