Chef Sandro is originally from Mexico.  He believes that the best way to learn about a culture is by traveling. That’s why he's had the opportunity to travel a bit around Europe and South America.

In addition to traveling, he likes to read cookbooks and learn languages.  He speaks Spanish, English and French.  He is currently interested in Hydroponics and healthy food. Food can be delicious and healthy at the same time.  He also loves milkshakes!

Sandro is amazing!! Last year I had taken the gnocchi class from him which is why I was excited to take this ravioli class. The only thing prompting me to give it 4 stars and not 5 did not have to do with Chef Sandro at all, but due to the completely disrespectful hotel employee who decided to use the room as her personal break room during the class, blasting on speakerphone her personal conversations while Chef Sandro is trying to teach. We were all staring at each other like, “Seriously?! In this huge hotel, is there not an employee break room where you can take what are clearly personal conversations?! Do you not have any consideration that someone is trying to reach a class?” We were all taking turns looking at her, hoping she would realize how completely disruptive she was being. And sure, other employees had to pop in, get water and stuff. They were all extremely quiet and apologetic, making sure to not be disruptive. But this one female employee just did not give a hoot. She claimed the whole room as her own, blasted her conversation and did not care who was hearing it. Chef Sandro is such a professional, and her behavior completely undermined and disrespected what he was doing. Meanwhile, all I’m thinking is, I didn’t pay $120 to listen to someone’s gossip, I came to learn about ravioli. Chef Sandro is an amazing teacher!! And I would love to learn from him again. But I’m not going to pay money again to have to struggle to listen to him because employees are being allowed to blast their gossip while a class is happening. I’m sure there’s a break room for that, and she should avail herself of it. It was extremely distracting and took away from the learning experience. I hope this issue is corrected for the sake of Chef Sandro whom I hope continues to give these amazing classes.

Sandro is a good teacher. It takes one to know one. Very good experience. My first cooking class, so even learning the basics of how to hold a knife was helpful. I would take another class with Sandro. Presently, I am looking for a class on Mediterranean cooking. Thanks much.
