Chef Saruj is self-taught and earned his 25 years of experience from owning his own Thai quick-service restaurant. It is called Chelsea Thai, located in Chelsea Market for 20 years. Then he became a Thai restaurant startup consultant. He learned most of his cooking experience from the best teacher, his mother. His roots are home-cooking, comfort food, and street food style. His latest position was Sous Chef at the Pierre Hotel.

My friends and I really enjoyed our cooking experience. I love eating Thai food and it was great being able ro learn how to cook Pad Thai. Saruj was a wonderful instructor. He was very passionate about his craft. He was patient, very informative, and kept the class entertaining. The outcome of my meal was delicious. I will definitely do another class with Cocusocial soon.
