Tommaso was co-owner of the Italian restaurant TANTI BACI in NYC, before spending time in
Peru to learn about Amazonian produce and agricultural practice. It was in Peru that he started the tomato sauce brand DUE AMICI, which is still being sold in Lima today. After moving back to NYC, Tommaso opened PROPRIO COSI, a company that will serve “on the go” organic food, with ingredients from local farms and businesses. He’s also the producer of a bi-monthly literary podcast series based on award-winning short stories and novels.

This was a great class. Chef Tommaso was very knowledgeable and gave lots of tips for us to incorporate. The pasta was simple but tasty and the panna cotta was excellent.

We had a great experience learning how to make and cook gnocchi! Chef Tommaso was very knowledgeable and thorough in his explanation of the process. Even though my food didn’t come out as expected, my family and I enjoyed the food and the overall experience. We will be back!

We had the best time at our pasta making class! Tomasso was such a wonderful teacher, we felt so confident making/shaping our pasta when we are definitely amateurs. A perfect duration of the night, with some amazing dessert to follow. Tomasso’s amaretto was the best end to the night- absolutely delicious. We’ll be back for more!

Chef Tommaso was so informative and helpful and we had so much fun learning how to make pasta as total beginners. I'm a vegetarian and he made me a special separate sauce for my pasta which was so kind. He also made us a surprise dessert that was delicious and so thoughtful.

I wanted to share that Chef Tommaso was absolutely fantastic—so knowledgeable, accommodating, and warm. He made the class even more fun than we expected, and we will definitely be booking another class in the future. Also, the amaretti dessert was completely delicious!
