Ed is a 20 year veteran of the New York City wine market. After obtaining his MBA from Cornell’s Hotel program, he had held myriad positions working for such industry leaders as Shelly Fireman (Redeye Grill), Alan Stillman (Smith & Wollensky/Quality Meats), George Biel (Hillstone/Houston’s), and Jeffrey Chowdoro (China Grill). Recently, Ed worked for Justin/Landmark and Francis Ford Copolla wineries as their brand ambassador in the New York Market.
A member of and a Certified Sommellier by the Court of Master Sommelliers, Ed is also certified as a Wine Captain by the Sommelier Society of America. A passionate teacher, Ed also work as a freelance instructor and had taught myriad wine topics in the City. He is excited to join the CocuSocial team, and looking forward to having some fun with our members while attending class. Cheers.

Ed made the event informative and entertaining. I learned some good advice that I will practice going forward. My only suggestion for future events is that Ed’s work area is captured for the visual aspect of his techniques. I think with that additional camera angle he can cover more ground in less time and more mixology experiments can be attempted. Thanks and I will refer this class to others.

My friends and I enjoyed this class so much! I’ve taken a few other wine classes before but this class actually helped me understand my palette and how to describe the wines that I like. It was so informative without being overwhelming. I feel like I can confidently describe what I like in wine now! Loved it!

Wow the instructor was so informative and fun at same time! We learned so much from understanding the terminology to how wine is made and processed, we loved the experience so much! Those 1.5hrs flew by I hope to try this again!
