Chef Jayme is a private chef and culinary instructor with more than a decade of experience in professional kitchens, specializing in Seafood and Japanese cuisine with an emphasis on seafood technique, knife skills, and clear, confidence-building instruction. He is recognized as a top izakaya by Bon Appetit. In addition to restaurant work, Jayme has supported World Central Kitchen, contributing to large-scale meal preparation and food distribution efforts across the U.S. and around the globe through WCK’s disaster-response operations.

As a side note- he may or may not have briefly stepped foot in a Michelin-starred kitchen or two—and, in a plot twist no one asked for, is also a practicing lawyer. His approach to teaching is practical, organized, and technique-driven, focused on helping students cook with confidence and respect for ingredients.

Jayme was great! Gave us some history about sushi and his background and we got a lot of time to practice making sushi.

I really enjoyed today's session with Chef Jayme. His explanations were clear and I appreciated the added personal stories and information about Japanese culture. My daughter (who also attended) and I are looking forward to trying this out at home. Thanks so much for a memorable afternoon!

I very much enjoyed spending time listening to our instructors adventures, his knowledge of Japanese culture and spiritualism and learning how to "start the journey of learning how to roll sushi. He was a knowledgable, interesting and compasionate individual and I might say you are very fortunate to have him as an instructor. It was a wonderful start to the journey! Thank you!
