Chef Kate’s culinary journey began when she was in high school. She was inspired by her grandmother who used to make everything from scratch. Since getting her degree in culinary arts at Le Cordon Bleu, Kate has been working in the industry as a professional Chef. She worked as an all-around Chef. While her roots came from Korea, her basic cooking skills and techniques are French and her specialties are Italian and Mediterranean.

Luckily we had a smaller class so we had a lot of fun and she explained the history, the recipes, where to great everything from, it was really fun! The ONE area of improvement we could think of is maybe having a small print out of the ratio instructions for the the rice mixture and recipes to go home with, that would've been great. Bottom line though, great class, great instructor, definitely go!

This was a fun experience! Kate was super friendly and very informative. The sushi was tasty! One suggestion: the serrated knives are really not the best for cutting sushi rolls. If I'd known, I might have brought my own knife. That being said, I would definitely recommend this class and Kate as an instructor.
