Hello everyone! My name is Francesca Lopez, I originally grew up in Southern California. My love for baking started when I moved to Ojai, California. It is a haven for local artists, woodworkers, painters, sculptors and bakers! I’ve worked with some of the best chefs in the world like Chris Kostow and Nancy Silverton as I was the Sous Chef for The Ojai Valley Inn and Resort. I always thought I would start and end my career in Ojai. However, I took a huge leap and moved my whole life to San Francisco. The melting pot of global cuisine, you could quite literally taste your way around the world within 47 square miles and depending on how hungry you are, 1 full day. I worked with Eco Terreno Tasting room as a Sous Chef, creating dishes as well as desserts, that melded flawlessly with their Wines. And now I am the Pastry Assistant at B Patisserie in San Francisco. Marin County is a chef’s dream location. We are on the coast one moment, then lost in the gorgeous Redwoods the next. Everything from the local bay area produce, the fresh seafood and the most delicious cheeses. And I cannot forget the perfect climate for bread bakers. This is now my home, which I am still in awe…My small, and still developing business, Zinnia Wildflower now has a chance to grow, like the determined flower that it is. I want to share my favorite, nostalgic recipes with you, with a fun twist of course. It is my pleasure to share my love for food with you and I hope it warms your heart, and tummy like it does mine.
