Don’t let the sushi chef have all the fun!

Come and learn how to spread, layer, tuck and roll your way to sushi heaven. In this fun, hands-on social cooking class, you’ll learn all the skills needed to make sushi-rolls at home, including how to prepare sushi rice, select sushi-grade fish, and add additional tasty neta (ingredients) to enhance your dining experience. You’ll learn to make three types of sushi rolls: California Roll, Spicy Salmon Roll, and a traditional seaweed out Vegetable Roll.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, wearing your mask. You will be seated with your booking party and socially distanced from other guests. Guests in the same booking party will work together throughout the class by sharing ingredients and equipment. Drinks are NOT included in the ticket price, but will be available for sale at the venue. Outside drinks are not allowed. 21+

Meet your chef instructor
Chef Gill has worked in all facets in the foodservice industry. He has taught cooking for students training to be professional chefs at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Los Angeles and recreational classes for the home cook at The Gourmandise School in Santa Monica California, Hudson Table in Hoboken New Jersey, Cook Space in Brooklyn New York and Sur la Table in Los Angeles and NYC. He is a Certified Executive Chef, Culinary Administrator, and Culinary Educator. He is also a graduate of Johnson and Wales University and has a Graduate Certificate in Gastronomy from University of Adelaide Australia.

Guest requirement
Masks are required at all times in the common areas of the hotel. All guests are required to show proof of full vaccination in order to participate in class. Your Chef Instructor will be checking vaccine cards and apps during check in. All guests are required to wear masks during class regardless of vaccination status. Your chef instructor will wear a mask throughout the entire class as well. Guests will be allowed to remove their masks when eating and drinking. As a result, booking parties will be socially distanced from one another while eating. The nature of our classes are set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment. Vegetarian options can be made available please email hello@cocusocial.com with 48 hours notice so that we can accommodate your booking group. Drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price. Guests are also invited to BYOB. 21+ only.
Cancellation policy
Reschedule request have to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. Cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable.See terms and policy.

The sushi class with Gill was electric! Gill made the entire class so fun, and really set us up to know how to make sushi at home. The location was great, as there was a bar to get drinks before the class. There was also all the sushi toppings you could want. The portions given were extremely generous, and we left stuffed. High-quality all around. Would love to take more classes with Gill!
