Is there anything more comforting and satisfying than a big piping hot bowl of ramen noodle soup? Learn to make the ramen noodles from scratch and concoct the broth that is full of authentic flavors yet takes only a fraction of the time using the Chef's secret method.
In this fun and hands-on class, you will be guided step-by-step in recreating this much loved Japanese noodle dish. You will learn how to create, knead, and hand-cut the traditional ramen noodles from scratch, create a rich broth, and prep various toppings to garnish your masterpiece. Once you have created your dish, you will then plate, garnish and devour your creations with your fellow foodies joining you for this delicious virtual cooking party!
No experience is required! We will send you the equipment and ingredients list, which are easy to find and you may already have them in your home kitchen. Just make sure you have most of these essential ingredients: Bread flour, Kosher salt, Baking Powder, Chicken Stock (either home-made prior class or store-bought,) Carrots, Eggs, Green onions, Small pack of Mushrooms (baby bellas, shitakes, or your favorites), Pork Center cut loin, Soy Sauce, Mirin (if you do not have or can not purchase can be substituted for Sherry, Sweet Marsala or even white wine with a bit of sugar added.) This recipe can be made vegetarian or vegan if you replace the stock and adjust the toppings. You will have an opportunity to interact with the Chef and ask questions throughout the session.
