These green and crispy protein packed Middle Eastern "dumplings" are always a huge hit among foodies whether they are vegans or omnivores. Once you learn how to make this much loved dish, it will be very hard to go back to store bought kinds!
In this fun and highly hands-on class, you will how to chop and prepare the ingredients using the right knife skills, make salad and condiments from scratch, form and cook the falafel balls, and the art of plating. At the end of the class, enjoy a healthy and energizing spread of falafel, salad, and fresh pita bread. You’ll find out about where to source traditional Middle Eastern ingredients in the LA area.
No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting. If you wish to make vegetarian dumplings, there is an option of creating roasted curry cauliflower filling or other soy/alternative protein based filling (everyone in the party will create the same filling.) Please let us know in advance so the Chef can prepare accordingly.
