Join us for this hands-on cooking experience to master the Indian curry favorite, Tikka Masala. This is a vegetarian friendly version of the famous, Chicken Tikka Masala. We'll be using and frying delicious paneer cheese as a replacement.
Indian cooking is generally not attempted by many due to its complexity and use of many spices. However join us on this journey as we demystify this taboo and teach you just how simple Indian cooking can be!
In this hands-on class, you will learn the basics to sourcing and balancing herbs and spices and the art of refining the perfect Indian curry base. Our Chef Instructor will take you through a detailed demonstration, before you will be guided step-by-step in replicating how to use proper knife skills, pan fry the paneer, temper spices & onions, and cook a traditional masala sauce.
Tikka Masala is celebrated for its fine balance of garlic, ginger, turmeric, garam masala, coriander, and cumin. Prepare some rice ahead of class to compliment your Indian curry. This is a recipe you'll want to make at home over and over again.
You'll have the opportunity to interact with Chef Raina throughout the class and ask questions along the way. You will receive an email with the equipment and ingredients list. However, the main ingredients required to participate along with the chef in your own kitchen include: paneer (cottage cheese), bell pepper, onion, greek yogurt, ginger, garlic, lemon, red chili powder, garam masala, turmeric, cumin powder, coriander powder, corn starch, salt, oil, tomato paste, butter, and heavy cream.
