There's nothing so delicious as fresh pasta, made from scratch.

Escape to Italy for an evening to master the art of making pasta.  Follow the steps demonstrated by your Chef Instructor to make one of two beautiful pasta options of either Fettuccine or Tagliatelle.  Guests will learn to make dough from scratch, as well as rolling it out and shaping it to create their picture perfect pasta.  Your chef instructor will demonstrate how to make a Fresh Tomato Sauce, with the help of some audience participation.  Serve the sauce over your al dente cooked pasta and enjoy a delicious meal in a fun atmosphere.  The best part is digging into your delicious pasta surrounded by your fellow classmates and newfound foodie friends.

No experience is required! All equipment and ingredients will be provided. Our events are casual and meant to be fun, relaxing and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who's happier observing and assisting.

Booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment. Classes are intended for adults 18+.  Outside drinks are not permitted. Drinks are NOT included in the ticket price, however guests may purchase wine/cocktails (21+), coffee and pastries from Cafe Creme. There is plenty of parking with the cafe's parking lot.

When Chef Michael first moved to Austin, Texas, 20 years ago, his Italian parents came to visit. Wanting to learn firsthand, he asked his mother to show him how she made gnocchi. A simple request quickly turned into a full-scale production when she headed to the market and returned with ten pounds of potatoes and a ten-pound bag of flour. He jokingly reminded her they were inviting a few friends, not feeding an army—but in her mind, running out of food would have been unthinkable.

They spent the entire morning and well into the afternoon making gnocchi. The extras were carefully packed into small cardboard boxes and frozen for later. Lunch that day included his then-girlfriend (now wife), Paula, along with friends Greg and Rene. At one point, Paula turned to him and said she wished his parents could speak English. He was baffled—because they were speaking English. But surrounded by Texans deep in their Southern drawl, his parents’ thick Italian accents transformed the gathering into what felt less like a lunch in Austin and more like a midday meal in Rome, Italy.

The nature of our classes is set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment. Classes are intended for adults 18+. To ensure the safety and enriching experience of all participants, we require children aged 14 to 17 be accompanied by a parent or guardian during our cooking classes.

Drinks are NOT included in the ticket price, however guests may purchase wine/cocktails (21+), coffee and pastries from Cafe Creme. Outside drinks are not permitted.

The Austin Central Library features two levels of underground parking with 140 public parking spaces. The entrance is on West Avenue. Parking is not validated. If the lot is full try City Hall or use your favorite parking app.

Cancellation policy
Reschedule request have to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. Cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable.See terms and policy.

The trainer did an amazing job pivoting the training due to insufficient ingredients. We waited half the class on additional flour. The experience was wonderful. Learned helpful techniques. I would recommend supplying additional supplies.

My husband and I had a blast. Jana is so warm and passionate about the pasta making process experience. She was so welcoming and went through each step of the process as many times as we needed her to. She was incredibly helpful, walking around to every station multiple times to check on all of us and make sure we were having fun, and answering questions along our journeys. My one criticism is not of Jana. It is the pasta making equipment itself that she was given. The machines were cheap and the rollers kept falling off everyone's pasta makers. So if CocuSocial could help her out with that, I think it would be much easier on everyone. Thank you Jana Keese for a wonderful evening!
