Discover the flavor-packed world of dumplings!

In this hands-on, intimate, and interactive class you will be guided step-by-step through refining your knife skills, making dumpling fillings and learning the art of folding your dumpling wrappers into various traditional shapes: mandu, gyoza, and shumai. Turn these shapes into delicious pork & mushroom and vegetable dumplings.

Class will begin with an introductory history lesson on the origins of dumplings and their impact on Asian cultures. Our Chef Instructor will also take you through an easy lo mean recipe to enjoy with your dumplings, and keep on the back burner for easy week night meals.

Once you have created your dumpling masterpieces and Lo Mein noodles, you will receive a takeaway container to bring your food home with you to enjoy.

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).

Please note that class will be hosted in Chef Trenica's home with ample space in the kitchen to social distance booking parties from one another. Chef Trenica is also maintaining a sanitized space, for your safety, as per CDC guidelines. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in and get comfortable, wearing your mask. Guests are welcome to BYOB.

Meet your chef instructor

Chef Trenica is a native New Orleanian, who came to Houston about 19 years ago. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and worked in the oil and gas industry, before realizing that her love and passion for people would work best in a different “white jacket".

Since being born and raised in New Orleans, food came natural to her since childhood, but she yearned to continue her education and study cuisine.

Today, Trenica is both a Chef and Nutritionist. She has catered to the most elite professionals and celebrities in Houston and has started to prepare food competitions for NFL, NBA players, and celebrities. Her favorite role of all is teaching cooking classes. It simply brings the best out of her, along with her love for people and food!

Where the class will be
Guest requirement
Guests are invited to BYOB wine, beer, or champagne. Guests are also welcome to bring their own aprons to class, otherwise aprons will be provided. Masks should be worn at all times except when drinking. Takeaway containers will be provided so that you may enjoy your food at home after class, free from wearing masks. Parking is available in the driveway or on the street. Upon arrival, please ring the front door and Chef Trenica will welcome you into her home for class.
Cancellation policy
Reschedule request have to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. Cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable.See terms and policy.
