Roll Your Own Sushi

Description

Get hands-on with sushi!
Join Chef Brittany for a fun, interactive sushi-making class designed for beginners and sushi lovers alike. Hosted inside Monday Night Brewing Garden Co., this experience blends approachable sushi-making techniques with craft beer enjoyment. You’ll learn how to prepare sushi rice, select fresh ingredients, and master rolling methods while exploring how different flavors pair beautifully with the brewery’s lineup. With Chef Brittany’s step-by-step guidance, you’ll gain confidence, have fun, and create delicious rolls that complement a curated beer tasting.

What You’ll Make:
You’ll prepare three unique, brewery-inspired sushi creations, each paired with a recommended beer style and built to highlight flavor, texture, and technique.

You’ll roll your way through a guided trio of sushi creations, beginning with the Carolina Temaki as you learn proper hand-roll technique and craft two BBQ chicken–filled temaki that pair perfectly with a crisp lager or pilsner. You’ll then create a classic crab salad roll using the inside-out method with a sesame coating, practicing tighter rolling and clean slicing while enjoying how it complements a hazy IPA or pale ale. You’ll finish with the warm, flavor-packed Brewery Dynamite Roll—assembling your baked topping, rolling, and torching—while discovering how heat enhances umami in ways that match beautifully with an amber ale or porter.

Whether you're planning a fun outing with friends, a date night, or simply a unique food-and-beer experience, this class offers the perfect blend of hands-on learning, tasting, and social connection. All tools and ingredients are provided!
