In this relaxed, hands-on setting, you’ll learn the fundamentals of crafting sushi from scratch—from preparing perfectly seasoned sushi rice to selecting fresh ingredients and mastering simple, reliable rolling techniques. With Chef Z’s step-by-step guidance, you’ll build confidence while creating delicious, beautifully rolled sushi.

What You’ll Make:
You’ll prepare two sushi rolls and one hand roll, learning classic rolling methods while exploring ingredient balance, flavor, and presentation. Throughout the class, you’ll practice proper rice handling, layering techniques, and rolling styles, with opportunities to get creative as you assemble your rolls.

Whether you're looking for a unique date night, a fun outing with friends, or a social way to try something new, this class offers the perfect mix of hands-on learning and tasting. All tools and ingredients are provided!

No experience necessary!
Our classes are casual, approachable, and designed to make sushi making fun for everyone—whether you’re an enthusiastic home cook or a first-timer just looking to enjoy the experience. Your workstation will be fully prepped so you can focus on rolling, tasting, and having a great time.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in.
You will be seated with your booking party. Guests in the same booking will work together by sharing ingredients and equipment. Drinks are NOT included in the ticket price, but guests are welcome to BYOB (beer or wine).

A certified European sommelier, she refined her skills through international studies in Germany, Amsterdam, and France. She is the founder of Savor The Experience and Savor The Experience Events & Venue in Columbus, Ohio, where she specializes in personalized menus, private events, and engaging, hands-on cooking classes.

This intimate, yet chic, micro space allows you and your guests to have a private location to enjoy just about any event. With exposed brick walls, high ceilings, fireplace, and decor within the open floor plan, both you and your guests will enjoy the modern loft feel. The space is perfect for small weddings, rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions, birthday parties, baby showers, bridal showers, or any quaint upscale private event.
Guest requirement

The nature of our classes are set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment. Groups of 2 may be asked to share their station with another couple. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in so that class can begin on time. Drinks are NOT included in the ticket price, but guests are welcome to BYOB (beer or wine).

Cancellation policy
Reschedule request have to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. Cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable.See terms and policy.
