Italian Date Night: Hand-rolled Gnocchi

Description

You are in for a real treat! In this intimate and exclusive culinary experience taking place at Chef Carmelo's home based in South Philly, you will learn how to execute an indulgent Italian dinner consisting of fresh hand-made ricotta gnocchi paired with creamy basil sauce from scratch. You will also learn how to exercise proper knife skills and prepare a simple yet elegant salad to accompany your pasta. Once you master the basics of fresh pasta making in this class, you will be equipped to try different shapes and forms with your newfound knowledge and tips and tricks bestowed by Chef Carmelo.

In this hands-on, interactive class, you will learn step by step how to create, knead, and shape fresh classic gnocchi from scratch. Simple yet luxurious cream based sauce, also made from scratch, will coat your gnocchi that is cooked to perfection.

Once you have finished making you dish, we will dine together and say cheers to celebrate the fruits of our labor!

When we say "small group size", we mean it. Chef Carmelo will only accept up to 4 people at a time. Whether it is your partner, friend, or a family member, you can be sure this experience will help create special memories in a safe, intimate, and clean setting. No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets in case you wish to recreate the dish on your own after the class. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, wearing your mask.
