Are you ready to roll up your sleeves and learn the tips and tricks to master making your own sushi rolls like a pro?

In this hands on and interactive cooking class, you will be guided by a highly experience Chef and learn how to make sushi rolls from scratch. We will cover the basics of cooking and preparing the perfect sushi rice, practice knife skills to prepare the ingredients and make special dipping sauce. And of course, the most fun part - laying the seaweed papers and all ingredients onto the bamboo mat and rolling! Once the rolls are cut and plated, you will enjoy them with the accompanying sauce. This is a perfect opportunity to practice your chopstick skills!

This class is very casual and easy to follow with step by step instructions for making 3 sushi rolls in your own style! Using fresh sushi grade tuna, salmon, vegetables such as cucumber and avocado, as well as some secret ingredients presented by the Chef, you will be surprised how easily you can recreate this at home once you master the skills.

Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. All you need to join this class is an open mind and interest in learning how to create sushi! We prepare your station with all supplies and fresh ingredients so it’s super easy and fun whether it is a family activity, couple's date night, or some quality time with your friends! Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, especially if you’re part of a large group.

Chef Shannon’s culinary career began at a five-star hotel in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and he completed his training at The Art Institute in Washington, D.C. Prior to his new role in Dulles, he worked at multiple Hen Quarter locations in the Washington, D. C. area with world-renowned Master Chef Fred Raynaud, one of only forty master chefs in the United States. One of the most special things about Chef Shannon is his culinary style which combines elements from his native Peru, with other cuisines. He believes in only using the freshest ingredients with a farm-to-table mentality to create his dishes. He continues to develop and master the gift for creating sauces that infuse flavors from his global travels, including Asia, Netherlands, Latin America, Canada and more.

Guest requirement
Outside drinks are not allowed. The Board Room offers an extensive selection of beers, wines, cocktails and other beverages for purchase to accompany your sushi dinner! 21+ only. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in and settle in, wearing masks.
Cancellation policy
Reschedule request have to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. Cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable.See terms and policy.
