Hand Rolled Pasta: Gemelli

Description

There’s nothing so delicious as fresh pasta, and making it yourself completely from scratch.

Join us for a CocuSocial first, where we further explore the variety of handmade pastas. You will be guided step-by-step to make Gemelli from scratch, using herbs to add to the dough for additional flavor.

While the pasta dough rests, your chef instructor will demonstrate (with class participation) how to make a Sweet Pepper sauce that is so easy to replicate at home. While the sauce is simmering students will shape their pasta of choice. Your Chef instructor will then demonstrate the process for cooking each type. Everyone will sit down and enjoy their pasta at the end of class. Feel free to BYOB to enjoy throughout the class! The venue has a cute outdoor patio with additional seating to enjoy your meal and drinks (weather permitting).

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).

You will be seated with your booking party. Guests in the same booking party will work together throughout the class by sharing ingredients and equipment. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. Guests are invited to BYOB beer, wine, or champagne.

Jason was a very specific teacher and we appreciated all the detail he put into the preparation, making of the pasta, cutting techniques of the vegetables, and explanations throughout. He also was a great chef. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and have already implemented some of the techniques he taught us into our cooking. Thanks Jason!
