Handmade Pizza

Description

This class can only accept bookings of 2 or more. If you are booking your class as a group please make the reservation under one name, as a full booking group.

Be transported to the streets of Napoli as you learn how to master the art of Pizza making!

In this fun and interactive class you will learn how to master the impressive skill of making pizza from scratch! You will begin by learning a bit of pizza history including its early beginnings, regional pizza variations and how it has transformed into the styles of pizza we know today! Our Chef Instructor will take you through a detailed demonstration, before you will be guided step-by-step in replicating how to make your own pizza dough, how to choose the right flour, basic kneading techniques and how to achieve the perfect crust for Pizza Margarita.

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, especially if you’re part of a large group. Guests in the same booking party will work together throughout the class by sharing ingredients and equipment. Each group of two will make one large pizza to share. Drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price. 21+ please.

Where the class will be
Paper Co.
1100 Elder St, Houston, TX 77007L
Since the beginning, coffee has been an essential part of Ecclesia Houston. In our early days, our cafe, then called Taft Street Cafe, served the Montrose community as an art gallery and gathering space. Our mission then was "to be a place where the sacred and secular intersect over a great cup of coffee." In 2013, we relocated to our current location at 1100 Elder and established Paper Co. Cafe, a welcoming space for everyone. For seven years, we proudly served our community with coffee, food, and compassion. However, when the pandemic hit in 2020, we needed to close our doors to the public. So we transformed the cafe into a food kitchen, providing meals for the unhoused members of our community. Looking ahead to 2024, we are thrilled to embark on the next chapter of Paper Co. Once again, our cafe will be open seven days a week for our community and the city of Houston. We are excited to uphold the tradition of serving exceptional coffee and fostering meaningful conversation. Our vision remains unchanged - "a cafe for all.
