Gary was trained at Napa Valley’s largest custom wine crush facility, Napa Wine Company. While there, he met with several top Napa winemakers while rounding out his broad understanding of the production of wines. He also received a Wine Sensory Analysis certification from Napa’s CIA (Culinary Institute of America).

Since returning to New York, He has worked as a freelance consultant (with a focus on Israeli wine) for a small wine importer and received a certification with distinction from the world renowned Wine and Spirit Education Trust. He also run wine tastings and educational classes (my favorites being the ones with a focus on Israeli wines as the people are typically blown away by the quality of the wines tasted). He is also an active member in a bi-monthly wine club – an activity which has proven to be fun, educational & has led to great friendships!

Sommelier was Charles Springfield. Charming and knowledgeable, I felt he could have spoken a little slower and clearer and explained some terms a little better for those of us unfamiliar with them. Otherwise a great experience.

I took a class with Charles Springfield not Gary Landsman and it was excellent. Charles was very knowledgeable, the class was fun and the wines were delicious. I walked away learning a lot and I feel comfortable hosting a party.
