Make Your Own Sushi

Description

Don’t let the sushi chef have all the fun!

Come and learn how to spread, layer, tuck and roll your way to sushi heaven. In this fun, hands-on, social cooking class you’ll practice all the skills needed to make sushi rolls at home. You'll start by learning how to prepare and season sushi rice, select sushi-grade fish, and add additional tasty vegetables and other ingredients to enhance the deliciousness of your sushi. During class you will make 3 traditional rolls: California roll, Philadelphia Roll, a Veggie Roll. You will even learn how to make wasabi and toss shishito peppers straight out of the wok to garnish and eat, or take home!

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).

Please note that class will be hosted in Chef Bernadette's home with ample space to social distance booking parties from one another. Chef Bernadette is also maintaining a sanitized space, for your safety, as per CDC guidelines. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in and get comfortable, wearing your mask. Guests are welcome to BYOB. Bring a bottle of sake, and we can warm or chill it!
