Hand Rolled Sushi

Description

Are you ready to roll up your sleeves and learn how to create your own fresh sushi rolls like a pro? You are in for a special treat!

In this highly interactive and hands-on class, the Chef will let you in on tips and tricks of making delicious sushi rolls, from preparing the perfect sushi rice, cutting the fresh ingredients properly, and the art of rolling. This casual and easy to follow class will surely engage all your senses! All participants will make three variations - a California Roll, a Veggie Roll and a "catch of the day" which will make use of fresh, locally sourced fish and sustainable ingredients such as tuna, salmon or shrimp. You are invited to let your creativity flow and try rolling with seaweed both inside and out and mix and match different ingredients to develop your own unique edition.

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. Our venue partner, Audiograph Beer Co. will have a wonderful selection of pours available for purchase. Outside drinks are not allowed.

To ensure the safety and enriching experience of all participants, we require children aged 14 to 17 be accompanied by a parent or guardian during our cooking classes. Classes are intended for adults 21+.

Carlos was great. You can tell he is very knowledgeable and skilled at his craft. He is also very good at making sushi. He made feel like a professional when I left the class. I recommend to anyone interested in making sushi. A paid online course would help also with tools for sales, that is just how good he is at explaining everything thing.

Overall it was a great experience and the host was great! But the website description was incorrect. We went into it thinking it was going to be a cut-roll sushi class and that is not what this was. It was only hand rolls.
