Classic French Macarons

Description

Be transported to the patisseries of Paris with this classic French Macaron class!

Don your chef aprons, grab your whisks and lets get baking! In this fun and interactive class, you will learn the fine art to making these mouthwatering morsels that are easy enough to be done in your own kitchen!! Together we will demystify the making of these highly sought-after meringue-based sandwich cookies. You’ll be guided step-by-step through the meringue mixing (macaronage), piping, baking, assembling and of course, eating! We will also explore a few flavor profiles and filling variations to make your macarons really stand out from the rest!

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, especially if you’re part of a large group. Guests will work in groups throughout the class, sharing equipment and ingredients. Outside drinks are not allowed. Drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price. 21+ only. To ensure the safety and enriching experience of all participants, we require children aged 14 to 17 be accompanied by a parent or guardian during our cooking classes. Classes are intended for adults 21+.

I took the macaron baking class and Chef Enmely was amazing! She was very informative and helpful throughout the class. I learned not only how to make macarons but also learned tips and tricks to help avoid making the most common mistakes for each step in the recipe. I feel confident that I'll be able to recreate this recipe at home. I'd love to take an other class taught by Chef Enmely.

My only issue is that I had to share the batter with 2 other people, so I did not have enough to fill the pan.
