Transport yourself to the renowned kitchens of Paris’ Le Cordon Bleu for a hands-on, beginner's journey into the art of French pastry!

In this immersive class, you'll discover the secrets of choux pastry, or pâte à choux. Guided by our expert Pastry Chef Instructor, you’ll start with a detailed demonstration before rolling up your sleeves to create perfect éclairs and cream puffs from scratch. Learn the essential skills of mixing, piping, baking, and filling as you craft these elegant treats.

Once you’ve mastered choux, a world of possibilities opens up! With these techniques, you’ll gain the confidence to make gougères, churros, French cruller donuts, and choux beignets—all from the same versatile dough.

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).  

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, especially if you’re part of a large group.  Guests in the same booking party will sit and work together throughout the class, sharing both ingredients and equipment.  Outside drinks are not allowed.  Drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price.  21+ only.

Baking since childhood and a graduate of the prestigious Culinary Institute of America, Andy has turned his passion into a creative career in cake decorating. Andy’s talents have earned him recognition on ‘Cookie Cupcake Cake’ (streaming on Hulu), where he competed—and won— twice! Andy hopes to inspire others to embrace their creativity through sharing his love and skill for baking and decorating.

We’re in the Garment District, surrounded by local shops and restaurants. Penn Station and Madison Square Gardens are a short walk from our door. Times Square and Javits Center are within a half-mile. Broadway is less than a mile away, and you can reach Central Park and 5th Avenue via the subway. Enjoy free WiFi and views of the Empire State Building.
Guest requirement

The nature of our classes are set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment.  Materials may be shared with other guests throughout the class.  Classes are intended for adults 18+.  Drinks are NOT included in the ticket price.  Guests who are 21 and over are welcome to purchase drinks at the bar.  Outside drinks are not allowed.

Cancellation policy
Reschedule request have to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. Cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable.See terms and policy.

As someone who knows nothing about making pastry, this was a great introduction! I find cooking classes sort of intimidating, but after the course I felt like I could get the ingredients and do it on my own with a little trial and error. Andy was a warm and entertaining instructor, and the value of what you get for the cost of the course is really good. I would definitely recommend this for a date night or a fun group activity with friends. Shout out to Andy for making a simple, fun course!

Chef Andy is so genuine and funny. His demos were so clear and easy to follow. The cream puffs and eclairs tasted and looked amazing and the ingredients/equipment were so simple for making two pastry I thought were complicated beforehand. Excited to do more classes in the future!

Chef Andy was A-MAZING. Would give 10 stars if I could. Gave direct instructions and gave a demonstration on how to make the pastries correctly. The pastries came out better than the ones I buy at the food market 😂 Making it at home is always better they say 👏 Looking forward to another class with Andy.
