Make Your Own Sourdough Bread Workshop

Description

In this captivating introductory bread making workshop, Arnie Adler (aka The Bread Baker Baker of Riverdale) will guide you through the mesmerizing 36-hour process of making a scrumptious loaf of bread, all condensed into just 2 hours. No need to worry if you're a beginner, Arnie will alleviate your fears and make sure you feel confident every step of the way.

You'll have the opportunity to work directly with the dough, immersing yourself in the tactile experience of bread making. Arnie will walk you through the entire process, teaching you the secrets to creating a delectable sourdough loaf that will impress your friends and family.

To ensure your success beyond the workshop, you'll receive printed handouts that provide step-by-step instructions for you to use when baking at home. You'll also have the chance to sample Arnie's all-important natural starter, a key ingredient in creating the perfect loaf. And as a bonus, each student will receive their very own container to take home.

No experience is required! All equipment and ingredients will be provided. Our events are casual and meant to be fun, relaxing and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting.

Please note that class will be hosted in Chef Arnie's apartment. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in and get comfortable. Guests are welcome to BYOB (to be enjoyed at the end of class), otherwise coffee, iced tea, and water will be provided.
