Join in on the cake pop craze by learning to make your own cake pops at home!
In this fun and hands-on class you will learn the secret to turning cake crumbs into creatively decorated chocolatey treats. Plus, they're the perfect party favor or bite-sized dessert to bring to a gathering. Our Chef Instructor will teach how to form the cake crumbs into balls and how to make homemade buttercream and dipping chocolate. But the kids have the freedom to make their creations their own! Sprinkles, nuts, or any edible decorations will work to decorate the cake pops before leaving them to set.
Invite your friends and family to join you for class so you can all connect virtually and enjoy a fun event creating delicious treats together from scratch. No experience is required! You'll have the opportunity to interact with Chef Jen throughout the class and ask questions as you go.
You will receive an email with the equipment and ingredients list. However, the main ingredients required to participate along with the chef in your own kitchen include: 1 store bought box of cake mix, shortening, butter, heavy cream, chocolate chips, coconut oil, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, sprinkles, cake pop sticks, a styrofoam block and cupcake liners.
Measure out and prepare your ingredients ahead of the session, grab your apron, and let’s get baking! Please note that the cake will need to be baked and cooled before class.
CocuSocial Kids Summer Camp classes are ideal for kids 6 years and older. Younger kids are welcome to join, but we recommend having a parent or guardian participating in the class along with them. Safety first!
