Learn how to slice, stack, and roll your own sushi like a pro. In this fun, hands-on social cooking class, you’ll learn all the skills needed to make classic sushi favorites from scratch, including how to prepare perfect sushi rice and make your own sauces. You’ll learn to craft a California roll, a seafood & avocado tower, and one of Chef Jared’s original rolls.

All stations are supplied with the necessary tools and ingredients, so it’s easy to relax and have fun. This is a great activity for a date night, family outing, corporate team building event, or just a night out to socialize with friends and neighbors. Besides, we bet you never made sushi at a BBQ restaurant before!

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, especially if you’re part of a large group. This event is BYOB. 21+ only.

Chef Jared began his culinary career back in high school and college learning the ins and outs of working in kitchens. He spent time living and traveling in Central America and even ran a kitchen in Panama. Be sure to ask him about his favorite Latin American cuisines and local ingredients.

Chef Jared now caters in-home and private events around Houston, and hosts a variety of savory cooking classes covering different culinary techniques.

Chef Jared was awesome! The event was fun and easy going. The one suggestion I would make is to have separate water bowls per cooking station.

Instructor was so sweet, attentive, and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this class. The taste of the ingredients is awesome when combined!! I could not stop eating and I even got to take sushi home. Instructor was very engaging, nice, and helpful!!!! I learned how to do sushi!!!! Yay. I think this would be a great place for families, dates, and friends!!!!

Fantastic! Jared was so entertaining and knowledgeable about sushi. He taught us lots of techniques that we can use at home and kept us laughing. We would definitely do another class with him!
