Hand Rolled Cavatelli Pasta

Description

In this hands-on class, you will learn how easy and fun it is to prepare fresh Cavatelli from scratch, without a pasta machine. First you will make the classic dough using semolina flour to form the Cavatelli pasta. Then you will cook the Cavatelli, and Chef Gill will complement your pasta by demonstrating how to make two different sauces: Mushroom Brown Butter and a Tomato and Veggie base. So come on out, have fun, and learn the art of Cavatelli making!

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, wearing your mask. You will be seated with your booking party and socially distanced from other guests. Guests in the same booking party will work together throughout the class by sharing ingredients and equipment. Drinks are NOT included in the ticket price, but will be available for sale at the venue. Outside drinks are not allowed. 21+ only.

Meet your chef instructor
Chef Gill has worked in all facets in the foodservice industry. He has taught cooking for students training to be professional chefs at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Los Angeles and recreational classes for the home cook at The Gourmandise School in Santa Monica California, Hudson Table in Hoboken New Jersey, Cook Space in Brooklyn New York and Sur la Table in Los Angeles and NYC. He is a Certified Executive Chef, Culinary Administrator, and Culinary Educator. He is also a graduate of Johnson and Wales University and has a Graduate Certificate in Gastronomy from University of Adelaide Australia.

Guest requirement
All guests are required to show proof of full vaccination in order to participate in class. Your Chef Instructor will be checking vaccine cards and apps during check in. Masks are required when social distancing is not possible during class. Guests will be allowed to remove their masks when eating and drinking. The nature of our classes are set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment. Drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price. Outside drinks are not allowed. 21+ only.
Cancellation policy
Reschedule request have to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. Cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable.See terms and policy.

Had a Great time! Everything came out really good. I think the pasta could of been cooked more but overall good experience. I think Gill was really cool but I also think there could of been a little more to make the class a little more fun like some music / I didn’t love the mask mandate because we were able to not wear our mask in the common area where we were first and eating but had to in the kitchen area which I think is a little silly considering we were already all around each other. But had a great time !

We really enjoyed the class. Gill did a nice job of demonstrating. He kept the class interesting and provided feedback to each group. This was our first class with Cocusocial. We would like to take other classes in the future.
