Are you constantly trying to think up ways to treat yourself and your loved ones while remaining safe at home? This class will teach you how to make simple, yet indulgent chocolate lava cakes from scratch. We're pretty sure that is the epitome of #treatyourself.
Join Chef Cynthia, in her Manhattan kitchen, while she takes you through the step-by-step process of making 6-8 molten cakes from scratch. Not only are these chocolatey creations rich and decadent, but they'll be paired with a spiced red wine (or port) reduction sauce. How can you possibly go wrong?! To finish off your dessert, (and make it Instagram worthy) you will make a homemade crème fraiche to dollop on the side of your plate or on top of your cakes.
Invite your friends and family to join you for class so you can connect virtually and enjoy a fun afternoon of baking something delicious, from scratch, together. The taste testing will surely be the best part! No baking experience is required! You'll have the opportunity to interact with Chef Cynthia throughout the class and ask questions along the way.
You will receive an email with the equipment and ingredients list. However, the main ingredients required to participate along with the chef in your own kitchen include: butter, semi sweet chocolate, granulated sugar, confectioners sugar, eggs, all-purpose flour, salt, red wine or port, orange juice, whole pepper corns, ground nutmeg, a cinnamon stick, heavy cream, and ramekins (not muffin tins).
Prepare your mis-en-place ahead of the session, grab a glass of your favorite drink, and let’s get baking!
