Escape to the bustling streets of exciting Barcelona while exploring the world of Spanish Tapas! In this energetic and interactive class, you will learn how to master three delicious tapas recipes. Our Chef Instructor will enlighten you on the background of Tapas culture, before taking you through a detailed demonstration of how to construct each of the dishes. You will then be guided step-by-step in how to make Tortilla Espanola (Spanish Omelette), Gambas al Ajillo (Garlic Shrimp), and Albóndigas (Spanish Meatballs). After creating your Spanish masterpieces, you will have time to sit down and eat your Tapas creations to your hearts content!

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don't already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who is happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).

Please arrive 15 min early to find parking, check in and settle in. BYOB is allowed

Meet your chef instructor
Former Modern Dancer and 'survivor of the 1960s' Fran retired from her job as a portfolio manager in 2011 to attend the Paris Le Cordon Bleu school. She completed her diploma in Cuisine in 2014 and has taught French and Spanish cooking to adults both in Australia and the United States.

Guest requirement
The nature of our classes are set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment. BYOB Beer and Wine is allowed. To ensure the safety and enriching experience of all participants, we require children aged 14 to 17 be accompanied by a parent or guardian during our cooking classes. Classes are intended for adults 18+
Cancellation policy
Reschedule request have to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. Cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable.See terms and policy.

This was such a fun experience! I gifted the class to my boyfriend for his birthday as we had just returned from a trip to Spain and wanted to learn how to make some of the amazing tapas we had there. The recipes were fun and approachable, the food was amazing, and Frances was a great instructor. We really enjoyed the group experience and getting to chat with the others at our table. Would definitely recommend this class and would take other classes with Frances and CocuSocial again!

I loved this tapas class! We made three delicious dishes and Fran explained both the history behind and technique for preparing these easy to follow dishes. The venue is located in a fun part of North Park. I highly recommend this class!
