Homemade Pumpkin Pie is the quintessential fall dessert. It can easily be made with canned pumpkin puree, or take advantage of peak seasonality and puree some steamed pumpkin or kabocha squash to make your pie completely made-from-scratch.
Join Chef Jen in her Chicago kitchen, where she will teach you how to make the flakiest pie crust and homemade whipped cream to top your pie filling. You will have to do some prep prior to class and make your pie dough according to the instructions provided so that it has at least 2 hours to chill. Then you will learn to roll it out and shape it into the perfect vessel to house your homemade pie filling. This is sure to be the best pumpkin pie you've ever served on your Thanksgiving table!
Invite your friends and family to join you for class so you can connect virtually and make a festive and delicious dessert together. No experience is required! You'll have the opportunity to interact with Chef Jen throughout the class and ask questions as you go.
You will receive an email with the equipment and ingredients list. However, the main ingredients required to bake along with the chef in real time include: all-purpose flour, granulated white sugar, powdered sugar, butter, apple cider vinegar, salt, pumpkin puree, eggs, heavy cream, vanilla extract, brown sugar, cinnamon, and pumpkin spice.
Measure out and prepare your ingredients ahead of the session, prepare your pie dough, and get ready to bake!
