Don’t let the sushi chef have all the fun!

Come and learn how to spread, layer, tuck and roll your way to sushi heaven. In this fun, hands-on social cooking class, you’ll learn all the skills needed to make sushi-rolls at home, including how to prepare sushi rice, select sushi-grade fish, and add additional tasty neta (ingredients) to enhance your dining experience. You’ll learn to make three types of sushi rolls: California Roll, Spicy Salmon Roll, and a traditional seaweed out Vegetable Roll.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. Guests in the same booking party will sit and work together throughout the class by sharing ingredients and equipment. Drinks are NOT included in the ticket price, but will be available for sale at the venue. Outside drinks are not allowed. 21+

Meet your chef instructor
Chef Gill has worked in all facets in the foodservice industry. He has taught cooking for students training to be professional chefs at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Los Angeles and recreational classes for the home cook at The Gourmandise School in Santa Monica California, Hudson Table in Hoboken New Jersey, Cook Space in Brooklyn New York and Sur la Table in Los Angeles and NYC. He is a Certified Executive Chef, Culinary Administrator, and Culinary Educator. He is also a graduate of Johnson and Wales University and has a Graduate Certificate in Gastronomy from University of Adelaide Australia.

Guest requirement
Guests can park on the first floor of the garage at no cost (there will be signs saying no hotel parking but day guests can). ONLY park in the garage. Other spots are liable to be towed. Classes will take place in the hotel Bistro, which is straight through the lobby doors and down to the space in front of our Starbucks. The nature of our classes are set up so that guests will work in groups during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment. Booking parties will sit together. Outside drinks are not allowed. Drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price. 21+ only.
Cancellation policy
Reschedule request have to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. Cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable.See terms and policy.

Chef Gill was great! This was a birthday surprise for my husband who loves sushi, and based on what we learned during the class, he's interested in trying to make his own at home! I would highly recommend this class and Chef Gill specifically for a unique and fun night out.

I will start by saying - Gill was fantastic, we really enjoyed how he commanded the class, the tips, and we learned a lot! The class ended up on the large side and started 30 min late which was a little frustrating, but, aside from that the class was excellent and I would highly recommend! Great value also when you think about it.

The sushi class with Gill was electric! Gill made the entire class so fun, and really set us up to know how to make sushi at home. The location was great, as there was a bar to get drinks before the class. There was also all the sushi toppings you could want. The portions given were extremely generous, and we left stuffed. High-quality all around. Would love to take more classes with Gill!
