Indian cooking is generally not attempted by many due to its complexity and use of many spices. However join us on this journey as we demystify this taboo and teach you just how simple Indian cooking really is!

Butter Chicken is renowned for its chunks of aromatic golden boneless chicken, cooked to perfected and smothered in a creamy, luscious spiced sauce. In this hands-on intensive class, you will learn the basics to sourcing and balancing herbs and spices and the art of refining the perfect Indian curry base. Our Chef Instructor will take you through a detailed demonstration, before you will be guided step-by-step in replicating how to use proper knife skills, prepare protein and cook a traditional sauce. You will then compliment your Butter Chicken with some fresh Basmati Rice and learn how to make fresh Naan bread from scratch! After taking this class you will not only have dispelled the misconceptions of cooking Indian cuisine, but will also have a flavourful, hearty and sumptuous one-pot-wonder recipe in your repertoire that you can recreate at home!

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing). You will work with other students in groups of 2-4.

Please arrive 10 minutes early to check in, especially if you’re part of a large group. Drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price. Outside drinks are not allowed. 21+ only.

Former Navy Veteran Chef Jessica realised that she wanted to follow her dreams and us her GI Bill to go to culinary school after being on deployment in the Navy. Graduating with an Associates Degree from Le Cordon Bleu in Seattle, she has been cooking professionally for over twenty years years in restaurants and reputable catering companies. Her successes in the kitchen launched her to featuring on Food Networks and Cutthroat Kitchen. Chef Jessica later opened her own business as a Private Chef in which she currently specialises in a variety of diverse cuisines. She believes that every culture has something unique and amazing to offer, with her personal favourite cuisines being Cuban and Puerto Rican!
