In this fun, hands-on social cooking class, you’ll learn how to spread, layer, tuck, and roll your way to sushi perfection. We’ll guide you through the essentials, including preparing sushi rice, selecting sushi-grade fish, and adding flavorful neta (ingredients) to elevate your creations. You'll make three different sushi rolls featuring fresh ingredients like salmon, tuna, and avocado.

No experience is needed! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets so you can recreate your sushi masterpieces at home. Our classes are designed to be casual, fun, and approachable—whether you're an enthusiastic sushi lover ready to dive in or a curious first-timer who prefers to observe and assist.

Chef Made has over 10 years of experience in sushi restaurants across the country from traditional to fusion. He has been trained under 4 famous chefs in local restaurant in DMV area: Nakazima (kushi), Mori Munehiro (Imm Thai & Sushi Lounge), Alex (Zento) and Peter (Yume). Chef Made will teach you not only how to prepare a delectable way of pop-able sushi morsels but also how to make them correctly.

Our spacious taproom in Ivy City is right next to our largest production facility to date and has a little something for everyone! You can enjoy draft beer in our taproom, on our covered patio while you watch the game, next to our rail car, or on our rooftop. Parking is available in the parking garage on the north side of Okie Street. Look for the red “Park” signs and the light up arrow. There is also metered street parking on Okie St and street parking on Fenwick St. Street parking is at your own risk. Alternatively, use a car service (Uber, Lyft, local taxi co.) so you can hang as long as you’d like, and have someone else drive you home!

Guest requirement
The nature of our classes are set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment. Groups of 2 may be asked to share their station with another couple. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in so that class can begin on time. Drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price. Outside drinks are not allowed. 21+.
Cancellation policy
Reschedule request have to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. Cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable.See terms and policy.
