Wine Tasting 101

Description

This class is the perfect place to start if you're interested to learn more about wine.

With our resident sommelier instructor, you will have an opportunity to taste and contrast six different wines, both red and white. The wines will come from Burgundy, France and Portland, Oregon. Through tasting, you will learn wine basics such as varietal, tasting techniques, region/history, and everyday-practical wine appreciation tips as they apply to the two regions of focus. You will also gain a clearer understanding of the importance of soil, the location of the vineyard and the climate of the regions to yield the final outcome that arrives in your glass. Class discussions will help calibrate your palate as you embark on this life long adventure called wine.

No experience is required! All equipment, ingredients, and wine will be provided by your Sommelier Instructor. Our events are casual and meant to be fun, relaxing and instructive, not hardcore. Please arrive 10 minutes early, wearing your mask.
