Handmade Ricotta Ravioli

Description

There’s nothing so delicious as fresh pasta, and creating it yourself.

If you love fresh ravioli but don't think you could ever replicate what you would order from a restaurant, this class will prove you wrong. Our expert Chef Instructor will teach you to make pasta dough from scratch by cracking an egg in a well of flour then mixing it all together with a fork. After forming and kneading your dough, you will use a pasta machine to roll it out before filling your pasta sheets with delicious fillings.

You will make and enjoy two different ravioli recipes in this 2 hour class: Ricotta & Parmesan Ravioli and Mushroom and Sage Ravioli. Each type of ravioli will be paired with it's own sauce, and you will each learn to make one of the sauces from scratch.

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).

You will be seated with your booking party and socially distanced from other guests. Guests in the same booking party will work together throughout the class by sharing ingredients and equipment. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, wearing your mask. Drinks are NOT included in the ticket price. There will be wine bottles & beer available for purchase from the venue. Otherwise, guests are invited to BYOB (beer, wine, and champagne only).

The class itself was great! The food was delicious and the chef was really informative. My only critique is that there needed to be more COVID safety. We did all wear masks but at times in order to show skills the chef would borrow ingredients from participants and in doing so touched all the food and equipment. I think the chefs working with Cocusocial should have all their own equipment and be able to demonstrate the skills without touching participants food.
