Handmade Samosas

In a complete hands-on class, you’ll explore the rich, diverse spices and flavors of India by making potato spiced Samosas from scratch. Join us and learn to make these vegetarian pockets of joy in the most authentic way! Depending on the region, samosas are found to be triangle, cone, or half-moon shaped. You'll learn the cone shaped technique during class. Chef Raina will teach you the art of spicing to really maximize flavor. You are sure to be introduced to new and different herbs and spices that will really excite your palate, though it's up to you which ones you'd like to source and experiment with at home.

Samosas are best enjoyed along with a fresh chutney. Though we won't make the chutney together in class, Chef Raina will provide her recipe for a beautiful chutney featuring flavors such as tamarind, dates, and fennel to enjoy with your samosas. Feel free to make the chutney on your own or purchase something fresh and delicious to enjoy with your samosas. This is a recipe you'll want to make at home over and over again.

You'll have the opportunity to interact with Chef Raina throughout the class and ask questions along the way. You will receive an email with the equipment and ingredients list. However, the main ingredients required to participate along with the chef in your own kitchen include: whole wheat flour, salt, carom seeds, oil, black pepper, chili powder, chili flakes, cumin powder, coriander powder, potatoes, spring roll sheets. This class involves frying, though instructions are provided if you would prefer to bake your samosas instead.

Cancellation policy
Reschedule request have to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. Cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable.See terms and policy.
