Be transported to the whimsical patisseries of Paris as you learn how to create the irresistible classic French Macaron!

Don your chef aprons, grab your whisks and let's get baking! In this fun and interactive class, you will learn the fine art to making these mouthwatering morsels that are easy enough to be done in your own kitchen! The classic 'Gerbert' or 'Paris Macaron' is a French meringue-based almond sandwich cookie, making them gluten free.

Together with our Pastry Chef Instructor, we will demystify the challenge of making of these highly sought-after delicate treats. Our Pastry Chef Instructor will take you through a detailed demonstration, before you will be guided step-by-step in replicating the process of meringue mixing, otherwise known as 'macaronage', piping, baking, and assembling. We will also explore a few flavor profiles and filling variations (chocolate and strawberry based) to make your macarons really stand out from the rest! Once you have created your magical Macaron creations, join your new found foodie friends to devour the fruits of your hard work!

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, most of which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).

Please note that class will be hosted in Chef Maria's house with ample space to social distance booking parties from one another. Chef Maria is also maintaining a sanitized space, for your safety, as per CDC guidelines. You are invited to BYOB beer, wine, or champagne with you to class. Please arrive 15 minutes early so that class can start on time.

Meet your chef instructor
Chef Maria has a BS in Food Biochemical Engineering and more than 20 years experience as a professional instructor. Her passion for cooking, baking and decorating cookies led her to start selling cookies for her friends and later on she opened her own Etsy shop. Through her shop she could provide unique and delicious creations for costumers nation wide.    Ten years ago she started blogging about her journey in the cookie decorating world, not only as a baker, but also as an entrepreneur. For the last four years she also has been sharing her knowledge through her YouTube channel, The Cookie Couture Channel, working on inspiring people of all ages to begin their own baking journeys .

Where the class will be
Guest requirement
Parking is available in the driveway or outside of Chef Maria's house. Please ring the doorbell upon arrival. The class is set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment. Guests are invited to BYOB wine, champagne or beer. At this time, all guests are required to wear masks during class regardless of vaccination status. Your chef instructor will wear a mask throughout the entire class as well. Guests will be allowed to remove their masks when eating and drinking.
Cancellation policy
Reschedule request have to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. Cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable.See terms and policy.
