In this class, you will be learning how to make one of the most popular street foods that hail from the Middle East, and now is widely popular all over the world, whether it is NYC or Paris. Crunchy and nutty, these home-made falafels fresh out of the pan will transport you to the bustling street of Tel Aviv!

In this fun and interactive cooking class, You will learn how to make the best falafels from scratch. Starting with whole chickpeas, you will learn how to blend the beans with spices, shape them into little balls of "dumplings" and cook them to perfection. There is an art to knife skills and controlling the heat when you are making falafels from scratch. Chef Cole will also teach you how to make an amazing yogurt based sauce to drizzle over your finished falafels. Tuck these savory dumplings into a warm, fluffy pita bread, generously garnish with herbs and sauce, and bite into an absolute bliss!

No experience is required! We will send you the equipment and ingredients list, which are easy to find and you may already have them in your home kitchen. Just make sure you have these essential ingredients: chickpeas (garbanzo beans), cumin, olive oil, canola or vegetable oil, garlic, salt, tahini, parsley, shallot, onion, tomatoes, cucumber, spring mix, lemon, fresh dill, greek yogurt, black pepper, AP flour, pita bread. This class is vegan/vegetarian/gluten-free friendly (just omit yogurt and/or pita bread.)You will have an opportunity to interact with the Chef and ask questions during the class.

Guest requirement
We will be sending you a list of ingredients and equipment you would need for this class. Please make sure you have your ingredients and equipment ready so that you can cook along with our Chef in real time! Remember, you will be creating the dishes from start to finish, step by step with the Chef. All you need to do prior class is make sure the produce is washed and ingredients are measured out. Chickpeas The rest - cutting, cooking, frying- will all happen during the class. A Zoom link will also be shared with you upon registration.
Cancellation policy
Reschedule request have to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. Cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable.See terms and policy.
