Escape to the streets of Thailand as we create one of the most famous Thai classics, Pad Thai!

In this fun and hands-on class, you will be guided step-by-step in recreating this Thai classic known for its diverse flavor profile of sweet, salty, sour and spicy. You will learn basic knife skills, how to properly prepare the traditional noodles and how to build the flavor profile of an authentic Pad Thai sauce from scratch! Once you have created your masterpiece, you will then plate, garnish and devour your creations with your fellow foodies joining you for this delicious virtual cooking party! You will gain insight on how to source fresh, seasonal ingredients and specialty spices in order to recreate the perfect Pad Thai at home.

In this virtual class you’ll learn to properly soak and prepare the rice noodles, gain knife skills, create delicious sauce that makes Pad Thai so irresistible, and how to bring that special Thai flavor into your dish. It’s a delicious and easily come together dish you’ll be able to enjoy with friends and family any time you want. Invite your friends and family to connect with you virtually and enjoy a fun evening of making this quintessential Thai dish. Chef Scott will also be showing you how to make the spring rolls filled with vegetables and tofu and a perfect peanut dipping sauce.

No experience is required! We will send you the equipment and ingredients list, which are easy to find and you may already have them in your home kitchen. If you don't have all ingredients, do not despair! Some ingredients can be easily substituted and our Chef will teach you how to make the most of what you already have on hand. Just make sure you have most of these essential ingredients: meat or any other protein of your choice such as tofu, shrimp, etc., rice noodles, spring roll rice wrappers, cilantro, green onions, bamboo sprouts or water chestnuts, garlic, eggs, peanuts or other nuts as garnish, soy sauce, sugar, vinegar, lime, tamarind paste (or brown sugar), fish sauce. You will have an opportunity to interact with the Chef and ask questions throughout the session.

Please make sure you have your ingredients and equipment prepped and ready so that you can cook along with our Chef in real time! Some ingredients may require you to pre-cook before the session begins. A Zoom link will also be shared with you upon registration.

Chef Scott was very personable, friendly, and lively. He happily answered any questions. He was very informative and tried to mention a lot of helpful tips. However, because he was trying to cover so many things in a limited time frame and because he was very adept at the recipe, the class started to go too fast. There was a lot of information to process at once. In the end, though, my result turned out good considering this was my first time making the dish.
