Escape to Valencia with our authentic Spanish Paella class! In this fun and interactive class, you will learn how to create this famous Spanish favourite known for its signature golden saffron hue, smoky flavours of chorizo, fresh shrimp and textured vegetables. You will also learn how to flavour profile and blend Spanish flavours, and where to source fresh, seasonal ingredients in order to master the perfect Paella. Perfect for entertaining, wow your friends and family at your next dinner party with your new found signature dish!

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing). You will work with other students in groups of 2-4. 

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, especially if you’re part of a large group. Drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price. Outside drinks are not allowed. 21+ only.

Meet your chef instructor
Chef Aisha is a Pastry Artist, Personal Chef, and owner of Food Goddess Philly Catering. She began her culinary journey at the age of ten, recreating family recipes for holiday dinners alongside her Mother. Chef Aisha attended the Hotel Culinary Arts and Tourism (HCAT) Program of Anne Arrundel Community College in Maryland. She further enhanced her skills as she worked her way up through the kitchen staff ranks in various marketplaces. Chef Aisha loves to experiment with unique flavors, adding her own flair to traditional dishes. She is also a wine enthusiast, and in the process of completing certification taught by some of the country's top Sommeliers.

May take 20-30 min to locate street parking. Easily accessed by public transportation or taxi. Paid parking lots within 0.04 miles in the Pennsylvania Hospital (Spruce St.) area.
Cancellation policy
Reschedule request have to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. Cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable.See terms and policy.

This was my first experience with cocusocial and I am happy to say it was positive! I have been on this ‘try new things’ this year and I take this challenge 1x/month! The Spanish Paella class appealed to me because since my trip to Spain I have dreamed about the paella I had there. I invited (2) of my friends and we all were excited to have fun! There was another group of (3) that signed up and this was the perfect class size so our instructor could provide and answer 1:1 questions! The instructor Iesha was so patient and informative! We all liked her energy and the information that she had to share! Let me say this..I am a novice cooker so I enjoy adding new skills to my cooking toolkit! The ingredients and food for our lesson was laid out and easy to use for ‘step-by-step’ directions! The end result was AMAZING! We had a good time cooking it and of course eating it was the bonus! Great time! I will return to take future classes!
