Then, we make a simple yet flavorful banchan - "side dish" in Korean - consisted of cucumber. Crunchy and tangy, this simple pickles will add a nice texture and depth to your meal. Garnished with Korean sweet and spicy pepper paste, gochujang, and delicately cut sweet Asian pear, you will feel like you are dining at a hidden gem restaurant in K-town. Let the feast begin!

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets in case you wish to recreate the dish on your own after the class. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).

Meet your chef instructor
Chef Annria's love of cuisines of the world stems from growing up in South Africa, a melting pot of diverse cultures. After she moved to the U.S., she continued her love of world cuisines - both in cooking and teaching. Chef Annria was trained in the classic French style, however her interests are far and wide. There is not a cuisine she has come across that she did not like - well...perhaps offal, her grandfather's specialty!
