Strawberry shortcake involves soft and moist sponge cakes baked from scratch, rich fresh whipped cream, and of course, fresh strawberries as well as home-made strawberry jam.
Join Chef Candice in her California kitchen, where she will teach you step by step how to bake the sponge cake from scratch, create the best ever whipped cream, and make a home-made strawberry jam with fresh strawberries. You will not only create a beautiful strawberry shortcake but also a jar of fresh strawberry jam that will add extra delight to your breakfast toast. If you don't have fresh strawberries, you could also use frozen strawberries to turn into lovely jam or compote and use it to fill your sponge cake.
