You are in luck - Chef Scott will show you how to recreate crispy, juicy orange chicken and fresh, steaming hot vegetable fried rice from scratch. After the class, you will have all the cooking skills you need to master these Chinese takeout staples under your belt. No special luck from fortune cookies required!

In this fun and hands-on class, you will be guided step-by-step in recreating this Chinese dish known for its subtle sweet orange flavor beautifully harmonizing with the savory flavor of crispy chicken. You will learn basic knife skills, how to properly handle the meat and how to create a flavorful and healthy vegetable packed fried rice! Once you have created your masterpiece, you will then plate, garnish and devour your creations with your fellow foodies joining you for this delicious virtual cooking party!

No experience is required! We will send you the equipment and ingredients list, which are easy to find and you may already have them in your home kitchen. If you don't have all ingredients, do not despair! Some ingredients can be easily substituted and our Chef will teach you how to make the most of what you already have on hand. Just make sure you have most of these essential ingredients: meat or any other protein of your choice such as tofu, shrimp, etc., orange, soy sauce, green onions, garlic, eggs, bread crumbs, flour, pre-cooked rice (day old and cold is better), vegetables of your choice. You will have an opportunity to interact with the Chef and ask questions throughout the session.

We will be sending you a list of ingredients and equipment you would need for this class. We don't want anyone falling behind so please make sure you have your ingredients and equipment prepared, measured, and ready so that you can cook along with our Chef in real time! Some ingredients may require you to pre-cook (such as rice) before the session begins. A Zoom link will also be shared with you upon registration.

Things were well explained and questions answered but there was a lot to do for 2 people. I couldnt imagine one person doing it by themselves. Orange sauce was wonderful. I think I finally learned how to get batter to stick (add cornstarch!) Rice was bland; needed something to jazz up the flavor a bit.

Would have appreciated a chance, at the beginning, for the class to introduce themselves. Also, a bit of background about the chef. Could have done without the persistent sales pitch for other classes.
