Come and learn how to spread, layer, tuck and roll your way to sushi heaven. In this fun, hands-on social cooking class, you’ll learn all the skills needed to make sushi rolls at home, including how to prepare sushi rice, select sushi-grade fish, and add additional tasty neta (ingredients) to enhance your dining experience. In just two hours, you’ll learn to make and enjoy three types of sushi rolls: "Rice Out" Crunch California Roll, Spicy Salmon Roll, and a "Seaweed Out" Veggie Kimchi Roll. You're welcome to freestyle and prepare your rolls how you like them- with seaweed inside or out, vertical or horizontal. The possibilities are endless!

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, wearing your mask. You will be seated with your booking party and socially distanced from other guests. Guests in the same booking party will work together throughout the class by sharing ingredients and equipment. Outside drinks are not allowed and drinks are NOT included in the ticket price. Drinks will be available for purchase at the bar.

Meet your chef instructor

Chef Trenica is a native New Orleanian, who came to Houston about 19 years ago. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and worked in the oil and gas industry, before realizing that her love and passion for people would work best in a different “white jacket".

Since being born and raised in New Orleans, food came natural to her since childhood, but she yearned to continue her education and study cuisine.

Today, Trenica is both a Chef and Nutritionist. She has catered to the most elite professionals and celebrities in Houston and has started to prepare food competitions for NFL, NBA players, and celebrities. Her favorite role of all is teaching cooking classes. It simply brings the best out of her, along with her love for people and food!

At this time, all guests are recommended to wear masks during class regardless of vaccination status except when eating and drinking. The nature of our classes are set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment. Outside drinks are not allowed and drinks are NOT included in the ticket price. Drinks will be available for purchase at the bar.
Cancellation policy
Reschedule request have to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. Cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable.See terms and policy.

Chef Bernadette was funny and engaging. Kept the class lively. After the first roll, you pretty much get the hang of it and it gets easy from there. I like that you get to make the sushi however you want and they ask if anyone has dietary restrictions at the start of the class. You can order alcoholic beverages to drink along with your sushi. If you would like to seat together as a pair, reserve under 1 person. The seating arrangement was tables for 2 and a big table for 12. If you're at the big table, you'll be standing throughout the class and super close to other couples/groups.
