Born and raised in New York City, Chef Erik was exposed from an early age to cooking with his father, the Executive Chef of the legendary Harlem eatery, Sylvia’s, in the late 1970s.  With no formal culinary training, he landed his first kitchen position at the historical French Bakery, Pane Doro, making an assortment of bread and pastries.
Several years later, Chef Elijah served as the supervising chef of Great Performances, which under his lead was named Zagat’s best catering company in New York-serving such renowned clients as President Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Plaza Hotel, Facebook, Goldman and Sachs, and HBO.
Currently, Chef Elijah has aligned himself with top clients in both Atlanta and NYC including: Marcus Samuelsson (Red Rooster, Harlem), Gladys Knight, Wolfgang Puck, Iron Chef Duane Nutter, and Delta Airlines.
